Baftis :
Pristine soundboard recording, near "mint condition". Just added a tiny bit of bass and some highs were boosted overall to give it a "official release" feel/sound. Also, an overall gain of 2 db was applied. No compression or noise reduction was used.
Notes From The Original Uploader :
Dust out your Doors collection. From the vault of an anonymous Doors fan comes a previously unsurfaced audio recording. For years, The Doors' performance at the Isle Of Wight has only been available in an edited or incomplete form. The most popular release, "Palace Of Exile," is missing over a minute in the middle of "The End" and the intro to "When The Music's Over" is severly edited. Audience recordings of the show are missing "Roadhouse Blues." Previously on this site someone offered a matrix of the audience and soundboard sources in order to recreate the complete concert in the best quality available. Now for the first time, we have a master DAT source for the COMPLETE Isle Of Wight concert in perfect soundboard quality. At almost 70 minutes total, this is as good as it gets until an official release gets made -- if one is ever made.
This comes direct from the multi-track master recording. Quality is near perfect. The only downside is that the stereo separation isn't very good. It sounds like it's an unmixed copy of the multi-track master. So you'll hear Ray's organ more in the center than it should be and Ray's vocals are mixed
way down so you don't hear them at all during "Break On Through" and other songs. (A good thing for some?) Still, I would place the overall quality as better than "Palace Of Exile." Little to no hiss. Bass level is much more reasonable. Sharper sound quality overall.
Now just what did I do to the original recording before posting it here? Thankfully, not much. There were a handful of clicks/pops throughout the recording that I removed individually using Adobe Audition. (The glitch during the announcer's introduction is on the original tape and couldn't be
repaired without cutting it down.) I also swapped the channels so that Robby's guitar is in the right channel where it should be. The biggest change I made was balancing the channel levels and bringing everything up. This small change really punched up the sound compared to the original transfer. There was no EQ or other tricky business involved. Sounds pretty damn good, if I do say so myself. If anyone wants the original transfer,
One small note: About 4:29 into "The End," the music drops out for about 5 seconds and you only hear Jim's voice. Not sure why, but "Palace" doesn't have this mixing error.
The Doors' manager Jeff Jampol recently made the silly statement that the reason they haven't released the Isle Of Wight recording officially is due to audio problems with the master recording. Well here it is, folks. Unmixed and raw. Please tell me if you find any noticeable problems that would prevent this show from being released. I'm dying to know just what errors he believes exist. Another reason why and another obvious lie from The Doors office.
A big thank you to the Doors fan who shared this rare tape. He/She wishes to remain anonymous on this one. I'm merely acting as middleman, and I'm happy to do so.

Hey, Baftis here. I originally got this bootleg from thetradersden.org quite a while back, I think it was last year-ish. At first listen, I though it couldn't posibly get any better than this. But at another listen, it wasn't really like that and decided to do a remaster. So, what you have now before you is beyond a shadow of a doubt the best possible version of this show. And while we have been blessed with a soundboard recording of pristine, ridiculously close to "official release" quality, there were still some little flaws that needed to be fixed.
First of all, the low frequencies were not very pronounced, not allowing the kick drums and the bass guitar to be heard as they should. So the low frequencies were boosted by 3.5 db in the 30Hz-100Hz range.
Next, there was a tape drop-out in the Right Channel during Hole In The Sky at the very last riff. Fixed it.
Then, there was a slight distortion during Symptom Of The Universe right at the beginning of the song ( 3rd-4th riff played, right before the drums come in ). Fixed it.
After that, Megalomania and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath were made to flow one after another, since Megalomania faded out ( last track on disc 1 ) and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath faded in ( first track on disc 2 ). Rest assured, not a single millisecond was discarded.
Finally, the overall gain of the show was raised by 3.5 db. No noise reduction nor compression was applied to this recording.
So, there you have it. Black Sabbath's gig at the Convention Hall in Asbury, New Jersey on August 5, 1975 in all it's glory and perfection.

The Beatles - Apple Corps Roof Top, London, England - January 30th, 1969
Hello, everybody. I'd like to welcome you to Baftis Bootlegs, the place where you can actually turn back time and repair your past mistakes....neah, just kidding. But you can go back in time with the bootlegs that will be posted here and enjoy wonderful performances by legendary bands, imagine that you were really there and witness musical history being made at that very moment.
From here on out, this blog will host either soundboard recordings, pre-FM recordings, FM recordings, demos, studio out-takes or historical performances ( doesn't matter if it's a soundboard or an audience recording ) and ( hopefully in the future ) "Holy Grails" of bootlegs, thus establishing Baftis Bootlegs as a high-quality bootleg site right off the bat.
For my first post, I'd like to present you none other than The Beatles, with their last ever performance in front of an audience.

"As Nature Intended" documents the Beatles' last live show in front of an audience on the roof of Apple Records on January 20, 1969. It's taken from the EMI reel to reel tape of the event and was issued by the Louisiana-based label Vigotone Records, who published hundreds of superb CD-r releases in deluxe packaging. Sadly, Vigotone was shut down and no longer produces unofficial releases.
